Fans of Rivian’s adventure-oriented electric cars can buy shrunken-down versions of the R1S, R1T and Commercial Van in a neat gift set.
It might be a little late for Christmas, but Rivian’s handmade wooden vehicle set could make for a great gift on other occasions. Priced at $150, the set is available now on the company’s website.
It includes a skateboard base with four wheels, on top of which one of several tops can be attached via heavy-duty magnets. Two colored bodies–red and green–come in the box, as well as individual tops that depict the R1S SUV and R1T SUV.
There’s also a gray electric van body with a removable windshield. The skateboard, as well as the R1S and R1T tops, is handcrafted from Birch wood, while the Rivian Commercial Van top is a combination of MDF wood and Birch. The paint is water-based.
The toys are pretty big when fully assembled, with the R1S and R1T combinations measuring 9 inches long, 5.4 inches wide and 3.9 inches tall. The van layout has the same length and width as the R1S and R1T, but it’s a little taller, at 4.6 inches. Everything is packed in a white cardboard box that weighs 11.5 pounds when all is said and done.

To promote the new toy set, Rivian published a heartwarming video on its YouTube channel, where two kids, presumably brother and sister, make an imaginary adventure movie using the wooden toys.
Besides the toy set, Rivian also sells a more realistic 1:20 scale model of the R1T pickup. Priced at $75, the die-cast precision model has four-wheel suspension, a panoramic roof, a detailed interior, front wheels that turn, and the coolest feature of them all: the front doors, front trunk, gear tunnel and tailgate can be opened and closed. It also comes with a custom display box and stand.
