Kia will introduce the 2027 Telluride SUV next month, with new styling, enhanced technology, upgraded powertrains, and additional enhancements. Â
The Kia Telluride has been a massive success for the Korean automaker. Sales for the three-row SUV have grown every year since its 2019 launch, but that’s not stopping Kia from introducing the second-generation Telluride very soon. The SUV will debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 20. Â
The SUV will feature new exterior styling, a redesigned cabin, and new powertrains, including a hybrid. It appears the new Telluride will adopt the brand’s latest familial styling, looking like the new all-electric EV9. Spy shots have revealed it will retain its rugged, boxy shape and feature vertical front lighting elements. Â
Inside, we expect Kia to continue offering dual screens on the dashboard, paired with a restyled instrument panel, a new steering wheel, and other enhancements. Kia will likely upgrade the available technology and safety features—maybe we’ll even see the Palisade’s built-in dash cams in the new Kia. Â
With the new design, we expect Kia to update the powertrain lineup. The 2026 Hyundai Palisade, which shares its platform with the Telluride, is now available with either a 3.5-liter V-6 engine or a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid. We expect the Kia equivalent to offer the same powertrain options. Â
The V-6 produces 287 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while the optional hybrid, featuring two electric motors, generates a combined 329 hp and 339 lb-ft of torque. The EV9 is Kia’s three-row all-electric option. Â
When the second-generation Telluride goes on sale sometime next year, it’ll likely have a starting price around the $40,000 mark. The current model costs $37,805, while the entry-level 2026 Palisade starts at $41,035, and we don’t expect it to cost more than that. Â
Kia has sold 92,498 Tellurides so far this year, which is up 81,754 percent from the same period in 2024. It has been a popular model for the brand. If Kia is as thoughtful about the new Telluride as Hyundai was with the 2026 Palisade, buyers should be very excited. Â
