Zeekr has updated the performance of its first sedan model, Zeekr 007, in pre-sales to showcase the popularity of the model.
The Zeekr 007 received pre-orders for over 25,000 units in nine days after the start of pre-sales, the company announced today.
The model will officially go on sale and begin deliveries in early January 2024, and customers who currently pay RMB 1,000 ($140) to reserve the model will receive a RMB 5,000 discount on their final payment, Zeekr said, repeating previously announced information.
Zeekr gave the Zeekr 007 its debut on the first day of the Guangzhou auto show on November 17 and began pre-sales of it at a starting price of RMB 229,900 yuan.
The actual pre-sale starting price of the model was lowered to RMB 224,900 after customers took advantage of this limited-time discount.
The Zeekr 007 is Zeekr’s first model for the mainstream electric vehicle (EV) market, with its previous models on sale targeting niche markets.
The company has been frequently updating the Zeekr 007’s performance since the model’s pre-sale began to gain continued attention.
Shortly after its brief launch at the Guangzhou auto show, Zeekr said the Zeekr 007 received more than 5,000 pre-orders in the first 30 minutes of pre-sales and more than 10,000 orders within three hours.
On the night of November 17, Zeekr said the Zeekr 007 received 15,609 pre-orders in the first 12 hours of the pre-sale. On November 19, Zeekr said it had over 20,000 pre-orders in 48 hours.
Based on Geely‘s SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture), the Zeekr 007 is a B-segment sedan with a length, width and height of 4,865 mm, 1,900 mm and 1,450 mm and a wheelbase of 2,928 mm.
The model will be available in rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions, with the former being able to sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in as fast as 2.84 seconds, and the latter in 5.4 seconds.
All versions of the Zeekr 007 are based on the 800 V high-voltage architecture for better range and faster charging.
The entry-level version of the Zeekr 007 has a CLTC range of 688 kilometers, while the long-range version reaches 870 kilometers.
Zeekr delivered a record 13,077 vehicles in October, up 29.2 percent year-on-year and up 8.5 percent from September.
In the January-October period, Zeekr delivered 92,105 vehicles, up 85.72 percent year-on-year. The company is aiming to double its deliveries this year from last year to about 140,000 vehicles.
