- Li Auto has reached the milestone of 3,000 supercharging stations, as the company prepares to launch its first all-electric SUV model, the Li i8, in a few hours.
- Li Auto previously promised that there would be more than 2,500 supercharging stations in China when the Li i8 goes on sale.

Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) has reached the milestone of 3,000 supercharging stations, as the company prepares to launch its first pure electric SUV (sport utility vehicle), the Li i8, in a few hours.
“The 3,000th Li Auto supercharging station has been completed, and the nation’s largest supercharging network is ready for the launch of the i8,” Li Auto wrote on Weibo.
Li Auto will hold the launch event for the Li i8 in Beijing, where it’s headquartered, at 7 pm Beijing time today.
As of now, Li Auto has 16,523 supercharging stations in China, covering 258 cities across 31 provinces, it said.
The Li i8 supports a 5C charging rate, enabling it to charge for 500 kilometers of range in 10 minutes, Li Auto said.
The Li i8 is equipped with a 97.8-kWh ternary lithium battery that supports 5C charging, with a CLTC range of up to 720 kilometers, according to information previously released by Li Auto.
The company began accepting pre-orders for the six-seat Li i8 SUV on July 17, with an estimated price range of RMB 350,000 ($48,770) to RMB 400,000.

The official price of the Li i8 will be announced later today at a launch event, with deliveries set to begin in late August.
The Li i8 is Li Auto’s first pure electric SUV and its second battery electric vehicle (BEV) model after the Li Mega MPV (multi-purpose vehicle).
Li Auto believes that a comprehensive charging infrastructure is critical to the success of the Li i8 and had previously committed to having more than 2,500 supercharging stations in China when the model launches.
