BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) will officially launch the 2026 Seal 07 DM-i on September 15, following the hybrid sedan’s unveiling last month.
Local media outlet Yiche mentioned the plan in a report on Monday. BYD has yet to announce the date through its official channels.

BYD said the model is equipped with the DiSus-C body control system and God’s Eye B smart driving system.
The updated Seal 07 DM-i measures 4,995 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm.
The current Seal 07 DM-i model has dimensions of 4,980 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, also with a 2,900 mm wheelbase.
The 2026 Seal 07 DM-i offers two 1.5L engine options, delivering maximum power outputs of 74 kW and 115 kW respectively.
The plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) also provides two electric motor options, with maximum power outputs of 160 kW and 200 kW.
Like its predecessor, the 2026 Seal 07 DM-i offers two CLTC battery ranges: 70 km and 125 km.
First launched on August 8, 2024, the Seal 07 DM-i is BYD’s first mid-to-large-size sedan equipped with fifth-generation DM (Dual Mode) technology, delivering lower fuel consumption.
The currently available Seal 07 DM-i lineup comprises five variants, with starting prices ranging from RMB 139,800 ($19,600) to RMB 195,800.
BYD sold 373,626 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in August, marking a 0.15 percent year-on-year increase and an 8.52 percent rise compared to July.
The Seal family sold 53,992 units in August, surpassing the Song family to become BYD’s second-best-selling model, although this represents a 1.54 percent year-on-year decrease, and a 15.24 percent increase compared to July, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
